The Florida City Commission was derailed by a somewhat off-the-wall interruption during a recent meeting – a BDSM dominatrix. The dominatrix in question, clad head to toe in latex and with only her mouth visible, didn’t mince words regarding her proposal: trash the city’s prospective contract for waste disposal, and use the funds to build a BDSM dungeon.
The City Commissioners in Fort Lauderdale, FA were in the midst of debating about a $900,000 contract for waste disposal with a company named Waste Management, Inc. During proceedings, the BDSM dominatrix stepped up to the mic.
The lady in question, known as “Miss Crave”, was accompanied by two other individuals also dressed in latex. The mysterious bodyguards were also wearing mirrored face shields. Both bodyguards flanked the mysterious Miss Crave in a manner reminiscent of a Roman honor guard.
Call Me Mistress!
Miss Crave bid the councilors a good evening, and invited them to call her ‘mistress’. She then claimed neutrality on the matter of the proposed waste contract, before bizarrely segueing into an accusation that the councilors were using the contract to “hide [their] secrets down the drain” in a manner similar to “the condoms [they] used to cheat on [their] spouses”.
Making use of common BDSM slang, Miss Crave further went on to suggest that a quarter of the almost-million-dollar contract was used to “support doms and subs in Broward County”. In the BDSM community, “doms” are dominant partners, while “subs” are submissive.
Miss Crave continued with a proposal for a tax-payer-funded ‘dungeon’, “created by us and for us”, that would serve as a convenient meeting place for BDSM fetishists. She urged councilors not to be distracted by her “glamorous look” and that they should do their duty and seriously consider her proposal. She also voiced her anticipation of spanking each member of the council at the newly inaugurated dungeon.
Miss Crave and her retinue shortly departed the stage, leaving councilors bemused. After a moment’s silence, the councilors wished Crave and her cohorts a happy holiday.
There followed a brief discussion on Miss Crave’s proposal, in which one councilor asked the city manager whether or not the city already had a dungeon. After he replied in the negative, the councilor jokingly responded that he “just wanted to check”.
The BDSM community is sorely underrepresented in modern American politics, and many welcomed Miss Crave’s impromptu decision to enter the political arena. Despite her vocal and impassioned entreaties for a taxpayer-funded ‘dungeon’ to be built in the area, it’s unlikely that Floridian councilors are going to respond well to such an unorthodox request to reallocate political funds.
Florida, also known as the “Sunshine State”, is home to an aging population that has a large number of retirees, and typically leans Republican, making it quite conservative. Conservatives are generally not receptive to citizens whose sexual tastes run towards the esoteric, and so many local political pundits do not believe that Miss Crave’s overtures will gain much ground.
For now, most of the kinky folk living in Fort Lauderdale will have to indulge in private dungeons or undergo the virtual BDSM experience from their own homes until city commissioners agree to Miss Crave’s demands.
