Xcams Review: One of The Best Free Cam Sites Available?

Cams aren’t everybody’s cup of tea, but they do offer a great alternative to vanilla porn clips, in which you get to watch the action, and… not much else, really. With cams, you can take the action in a direction that does it for you.

What Is Xcams? 

Xcams is a pay-per-minute camsite that largely offers girls. It’s a site that emphasizes chatting with your favorite performers, and as such, offers a lot of free content.

Note, however, that this is not a site like Royal Cams or Camsoda; you’re not going to see a bunch of girls openly masturbating or naked. For that, you gotta pony up some cash. 

How Much Is Xcams? 

Xcams, like so many camsites, uses its own proprietary currency called ‘credits’ (where do they come up with these names?).

You can get 40 credits for 9.99 euro; if you buy in bigger amounts, you’ll get a small number of extra credits for free. 

These credits can be used for a number of purposes, but generally speaking, are used for four purposes: 

• Private shows: this is Xcam’s version of a group show. Costs 5-10 credits/minute, typically (0.7-1.25 euro), which is really pretty reasonable as group shows go. Obviously, though, you need to share the girl with other viewers. 
• VIP shows: this is Xcam’s actually private show, where it’s just you and the girl and nobody else. It’s accordingly more expensive, typically 15-20 credits/minute (3.75-5 euros). 
• Toy activation: exactly what it sounds like – activate the girl’s toy. This is almost always a Lovense vibrator that she wears throughout her performance, and it’s pretty expensive in the grand scheme of things. Expect to pay around 0.7 euros to activate the toy for 10 seconds. 
• Tips/gifts: you can pay to send the model a tip or gift. Some gifts are insanely expensive (125-150 euros) and, insofar as I can tell, don’t actually get you anything beyond the gratitude of the model. 

There is no VIP or premium membership on Xcams, which keeps things pretty simple. Just buy credits and leave it at that.

It’s also worth noting that there are no set prices on Xcams; the girls set their own prices. 

What Kind Of Live Sex Experiences Can You Find On Xcams? 

The good news is that if you’re into girls, you’re in luck. The vast majority of performers on Xcams fall into this category, with around 300 girls online at any one time.

The vast majority of these girls are European (which makes sense, as Xcams is a European site). Expect to see plenty of Spanish and Eastern European girls. 

If you’re after anything other than cis girls, you’re probably not going to get very far. Xcams is very clear in the kind of performers that it offers, and those performers are overwhelmingly girls.

There are three other categories – couples,trans (girls) and men – but don’t expect to see more than a handful of feeds in the former, and perhaps 15-20 in the latter.

As for men: the category itself is hidden under the search option filters, and there’s seldom more than one or two online. 

Beyond this, the experiences you can expect on Xcams are pretty much up to you. As long as you’ve got the credits to enter into a private show, and the model is willing, you can ask for whatever you want.

A good deal of girls (but not all) have a bunch of toys to hand, and there’s a good chance they’ll be willing to accommodate your deepest sexual fantasies. 

That said, there’s not too much in the way of fetish stuff. If you’re into any kind of niche fetish, you’re probably better off going to a specialist site, or else a larger generalist site like LiveJasmin. 

Design Of The Site 

One of the best things about Xcams is how clean and uncluttered it is. Almost the entire screen is taken up with thumbnails of the performers, with the occasional discreet (internal) ad thrown in.

There are no third-party ads at all, which – as I’ve mentioned once or twice in the past – makes for an entirely different experience. It’s simply not possible to overstate how much better it is to surf without getting constant ads in your face. 

However, you will get frequent incentives to sign up with Xcams if you’re surfing for free. Pretty much every time you click through to a feed (or just every few minutes) you’ll get a pop-up ad offering you a “limited time” offer for free credits if you sign up.

This offer supposedly expires after 5 minutes, but since I saw it roughly once every five minutes, something tells me that this isn’t actually the case. 

The search filters are located at the top of the page. They’re not the most extensive: you can filter by ethnicity, boob size, credit charge per minute, hair color, body type, and a few other things.

There are “advanced” filters that are basically these, plus the option to filter for HD and tattoos/piercings. It’s not amazing, but given Xcams’ focus on girls, you don’t really need many more filters. 

Another feature of note is that some performers will lock their chats out to free users. You’ll get a 15-second sneak peek, but after that you need to pony up.

This is not universal (some girls have completely free basic chatrooms) and is more common among, say, trans girls than cis ones, but it’s a factor to be aware of if you’re trying to keep it completely free. 

Finally, the fact that there is a search filter for HD feeds tells you what you need to know about the frequency of HD on the site: it’s pretty low.

There are a lot of grainy SD feeds on the site, which isn’t great, given that we’re in 2023 and not 2003. 

One last thing of note: you can chat for free in the free chats. You’re often restricted to merely watching on other sites with free feeds, but Xcams lets you chat with the girls without even signing up.

Do be aware that they’re less likely to pay attention to you than to paid users, but it’s a pretty big departure from the camsite modus operandi. 

What I Like About The Site 

Genuinely free chat, uncluttered and crisp site design, and hundreds of models online at any given time: there’s a lot to love about Xcams.

If you like girls and you like to test the waters before you start laying out any cash, then Xcams will do right by you. 

On top of this, private shows are very reasonably priced (for most girls) and you can keep it pretty cheap so long as you’re prepared to share the performer with a few other viewers.

Even VIP shows can be decently priced if you’re prepared to do a bit of bargain hunting. 

What I Don’t Like About The Site 

Firstly: the site needs to start imposing a few restrictions on the quality of the girls’ cam feeds, because there are way too many SD feeds in the mix. It’s not a good look for the site or for the individual performers who are still running on antiquated technology in the year of our Lord 2023. 

Secondly, it’s not the most diverse site out there. This is true of quite a few cam sites, and it’s unlikely to change, but it would be nice to see a few other options beyond “European chick”. There are a couple of options, but bigger sites like LiveJasmin completely crush Xcams on this front. 

Conclusion 

Xcams is one of the stronger free options out there, if only because it’s possible to chat with girls with free feeds without even needing to sign up. And there are plenty of free feeds.

It has many of the same limitations as other sites that offer free feeds, however, and maybe even a few more (like the fact you’re pretty much not seeing nudity or masturbation for free). 

That said, if you’re looking for fetish stuff or anything that’s not catering to the straight male (e.g. gay/couples/trans content), then you’re probably better off looking elsewhere; Xcams has its preferred niche (if you can call the most popular type of cam performers ‘niche’) and it’s not looking likely to change its tune on that front.
